Well what a weekend that was.
We have been absolutely floored by what the town was able to achieve this past weekend. The support shown to Free Music Lessons, to the performers and to the venues was nothing short of immaculate. You packed out Tap Select on Thursday, rammed everywhere on Friday and Saturday then Sunday was truly overwhelming at Rhyddings Park.
With that in mind, we’d like to say a huge thank you to every single person who made it such a wonderful weekend. Thank you to the performers who gave their time and talents for a great cause. Thank you to the venue owners who continue to trust us with taking over their businesses for a weekend. Thank you to the bar staff who must have had the busiest shifts of their lives. Thank you to our amazing sponsors who provide funding, equipment, help and support wherever we need it. Thank you to our security team who made sure everything ran without a hitch. Thank you to our volunteers – photographers! Sound technicians! Bucket shakers! Litter pickers! None of this would be possible without you. And finally thank you to every single person in this amazing town who dug deep into their pockets to support Free Music Lessons, it’s truly humbling to see everyone rally behind the cause.
